Pink Door, Lifeguards Only

I expect the southern-facing pink door was not always pink. Pretty sure it started its life as a door, proudly sporting fresh paint in a darker, redder hue, which faded in the strong direct and reflected sunlight from the beach sand. Or maybe someone painted over graffitti with pink paint — as they did on the plywood window cover — because they had none of the original paint color available any longer, and kept on going because they liked the pink…

Detail of the locked window and tan brick wall.
