In The Act.
On my walk by the water, my saunter by the sound, at the edge of the estuary, I saw three counselors from a day camp talking. As I wondered what they were discussing, I was reminded of the poem by my late father entitled, “In the Act” which — for my children and me — is insightful and life-altering; especially the first verse. Here is that clever verse, followed by a link to the full poem on my father’s poetry blog:
In the act of speaking

and stood to watch.

To enhance and emphasize this third-person triptych-triality of human interaction — listening, speaking & observing — I did a little edit of an otherwise bland, blasé photograph of the three camp counselors. I hope you enjoy it! And I hope you find something interesting, worthy of contemplation, in the words of this poem (or any of my late father’s work), as I do…
