In the Prop Room.
Subtitle: Colors, Textures & Odd Things.
I have a one-room office at the back of a studio shared with two full-time photographers and an occasional painter. Sometimes I like to wander into the prop room and look around, because it’s full of wondrous things.
Well, maybe they’re not really “wondrous” and it’s just lots of mundane, everyday things crammed into a small space. Or maybe it’s all the boxes, shelves, racks, nooks, and crannies stuffed with so many boring, bland, blasé things that the sheer number of objects, materials, parts, pieces, bits, miscellany, and ephemera in one room makes them wondrous.
In any case, I always find interesting colors, textures, and odd things in the prop room. Here’s a sampling from today:
