I’m not talking about the patterns of flowers — their parts, forms, shapes, variations — much has already been written on those topics. Instead, on this rainy day, I was fascinated by the patterns made by petals fallen (from a wild black cherry tree) on grass, ground, and pavement.
The photos are gloomy like the day’s weather, but I hope you will enjoy (as I did) the patterns of petals on the pavement, painted-in-place by passing vehicles, and passersby.
