I’d seen a few other bumblebees — fuzzy black and yellow marvels — buzzing and bumbling by recently, but it was the first one I saw up close this year. It was resting on a leaf leaning against the white, wood shingles, between pollinating and pollen-gathering work. Of course, I had to say hello and capture the moment.
