It started out innocently enough, as one purple iris among many. But I couldn’t leave it alone — I had to edit, morph, play, and fiddle with it using the Hipstamatic app — as usual!

Actually, a group of my Hipsta-friends was working with a “mirroring filter” theme this week, so I thought I’d have fun with it. Here, you can see my descent into madness with this particular flower:

• Captured an iris on a low-contrast, cloudy day, using a color-saturation boosting combo in the app to make it POP a little more,
• Applied a mirroring filter,
• Double-baked it with infrared-infused tones,
• Triple-baked it in a “cubism” filter…

I hope you like it as much as I did making it!
