PolaCon Polaroid Portrait #10

Portrait of two friends who had a great look together when they arrived at PolaCon NYC 2024. I asked them to pose for me outside Worthless Studios, in front of the garage door used for moving big props in and out of the studio in one piece. The woman appeared to be the photographer of the two, holding a Mamiya medium-format roll-film camera in one hand, and her Polaroid Now instant camera in the other.

***Please let me if you know the names and/or Instagram handles of the two people in this photo, so I can tag them and send a scan of it!***

Subject: Unknown Man & Woman / models
Location: Worthless Studios, Bushwick, Brooklyn
Camera: Polaroid SLR 680SE (vintage)
Film: Polaroid 600 Color (New, expired 2022)
Photographer: Russ Murray

NOTE: When shooting this pack of expired film against plain/white background, you can see elements of blue-shading and color-shifting due to the aging chemistry…

The second PolaCon NYC 2024 event, sponsored by Polaroid, was held from May 17th — 19th, primarily at Worthless Studios in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. I went on Saturday the 18th and had a great time learning, playing with gear, meeting old friends, making new ones, and shooting a bunch of instant photos!

See you tomorrow…
