Big Shot: Max & Boo

A Polaroid Big Shot portrait of Max (my son) and Boo (my cat) on the floor looking up, using Fuji FP-100c instant, peel-apart, pack-film, expired in 2011. As you can see, though kept cool and/or refrigerated for most of the past 13 years, the expired instant film has age-related color shift to warmer tones of orange and green, giving it a 1970’s vibe.

Max was back in town for a few weeks, after months in Peru, where he was working remotely, surfing every day, exploring the country, culture, and of course, la comida local. Next weekend, Max heads to El Salvador for more of the same, closer to the equator, so of course he had to give our 19-year-old Sphynx cat Boo a little love before leaving…
