Rockin’ at the Golden Hour.
They said today would be cloudy, overcast, showering, and raining. They were wrong. Again.
So I went back to a favorite spot at the park by the sound, on what turned out to be a warm, clear day. This hulking, seemingly out-of-place white rock — on a peninsula at low tide, on an impassable (without a boat) island at hightide — is a favorite of mine. It glows yellow-orange in the warm light of the setting sun, during the golden hour.
Taking a few shots of the rock up close (at low tide), I included a young man stretching — as if he’d just had a strenuous workout — in front of his girlfriend, who sat on another (smaller) rock watching him. I showed them this picture, and of course, he wanted a copy. Alas, it seems there was a typo in his mobile number so it wouldn’t send after I returned to good signal on the way home…
Obligatory, well-meaning photographer comment:
If anyone out there knows this young man, please let him know and send him to this post…
