Each year, there is a 4-8 day period, when three marvelous colors may be seen juxtaposed, alongside, sharing airspace, and in close proximity to each other. It’s a matter of seasonal timing, as spring unfolds and days become warmer. I’m talking about the forsythia’s bright yellows, the Japanese maple’s deep reds, and the black cherry’s white blossoms, which overlap beautifully (in my region) sometime in the last weeks of April and first weeks of May.
