Monochrome Faux Film Squares

It was a cloudy-hazy day without highlights or shadows, distilling and reducing the colors of things pretty close to monochromatic, with everything silhouetted against a milky white sky. So I pushed a few of of my iPhone photos through a Hipstamatic (app) edit that turned them all into pure black-and-white, stark, gritty, grainy, high-contrast, square “faux film” monochromes.
