Sunset Onset; Blurred Bird.

272 / 365 Project 2022

For the second time in a week, I walked outside and noticed the dusk sky lit by lovely, warm, peach-pink tones — a sudden onset of sunset.

Just moments earlier, a cool, clear, September day was dimming down uneventfully with the usual darkening hues of blues. But gathering clouds at the horizon conspired with elements in the atmosphere, to give us a gift of intense, saturated colors!

As I captured the sky to the west on my iPhone, several starlings flew frantically through my view, intruding on my compositions. It seemed as if they’d missed the afternoon murmuration and were rushing to rejoin their flock in the trees where they were already roosted for the night. Most of my shots were ruined by dots and blurry bird-blips, but one was bird-free, and one had a blurred bird with wings spread, both of which I really liked…

Turning 90 degrees to my left, just a right-angle away:

See you tomorrow…
