If you are of a certain age, or just know and love the music of Cream — IMHO one of the top 10 rock bands ever — you will immediately recognize the title of this post as a play on the name of Cream’s drummer, Ginger Baker. And, as you can see, the post title is perfectly apt and apropos to this particular biker…
Driving mid-morning to walk by the water, we noticed a flash of bright color in the rearview mirror. Looking more closely, we realized it was a man sporting flaming red-orange hair and beard, matching (clashing?) red collar and sleeves, riding a motorcycle, with fishing poles strapped to his back, heading to the shore!
After he parked, I approached the Ginger Biker and asked for a “permission” photo, offering to send him a copy. He declined politely, said you’re welcome to my thank you, and declared, “Rock and roll!” as he returned to his prepping his fishing gear…
A few minutes later, we saw him walking toward the water of Long Island Sound, alongside a female companion and her little dog. So that’s why he was in a hurry! 🙂
